Who rules Britain? Who runs Britain? Is France in charge?

David Cameron will have to wait years to re-write the terms of Britain’s membership of the European Union, Francois Hollande has said.

The French President’s officials poured scorn on suggestions from Mr Cameron can achieve “treaty change” before any in/out referendum, which he has committed to hold before the of 2017.

“Mr Cameron has suggested that as long as the renegotiation – which will involve changing treaties between Britain and the EU – is successful he will he will campaign for Britain to remain in the EU.”
—————-
NO, that is a complete distortion of what he has repeatedly said.
What he has said is that he believes the UK must stay in the EU and he will never advocate leaving or take the UK out.
It doesn’t matter whether we get renegotiated terms or not, Cameron is an EU stooge representing The British Establishment which will never permit a free and fair Referendum.

So once more the British Prime Minister can say “Nothing I can do about it” We will never, repeat never get a referendum under the present three party system. Its just not going to happen.

The Treaty of Lisbon introduced an exit clause for members who wish to withdraw from the Union. Under TEU Article 50, a Member State would notify the European Council of its intention to secede from the Union and a withdrawal agreement would be negotiated between the Union and that State. The Treaties would cease to be applicable to that State from the date of the agreement or, failing that, within two years of the notification unless the State and the Council both agree to extend this period.

Elsewhere we learn that 800,000 (probably many more!) people living in Britain with little or no English do not have a job and it takes an expensive Census to tell us that!

I thought THEY were supposed to be looking after US in our old age!
