It sure does not seem like they are trying to make a good go of Brexit.
The Civil Service, like politicians and anyone else in authority has to be held to account.
If they fail to implement Government policy and work against those responsible for its implementation then they should be sacked or resign.
-“The Prime Minister has repeatedly assured voters she will stick to her manifesto pledge to take Britain out of the Customs Union”
How comforting, because these parties always stick to their manifesto pledges, don’t they?
“Manifesto pledges” are what the parties say in order to get votes. Once in power, these pledges mean nothing, because the Agenda continues regardless.
If its a straight choice between honouring a manifesto pledge, and the goals of the Agenda, the Agenda wins every time.
If the civil service was true, honest, impartial and have integrity, it would not have embroiled itself deeply in Project Fear.
It would indeed have honoured the referendum and knuckled down to fighting for the best deal for this country.
