Vaz epitomises everything wrong with the political class.
The scandal is no longer rent boys and cocaine. That is now small beer.
It has become the failure of Parliament to allow justice to take its course. It is its acceptance that Vaz, one of their own, should be allowed to avoid the probability of a prosecution that would be routine were a non-member of the Establishment to behave as Vaz has done.
It is yet another example in a shamefully long list of a rottenness in the heart of the British nation. A rottenness that goes so deep it is threatening the survival of democracy itself. A rottenness that forces me to believe that Vaz has become untouchable because he possesses something that makes him so.
Our elites are laughable, plain and simple.
