This isn’t appeasement – it’s abject surrender.
The Prime Minister is considering a plan to stay partially inside the European Union’s Single Market.
Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip ‘Remainer Phil’ Hammond is thought to be pushing to keep the UK fully inside the Single Market
What gives the government the right to bypass the referendum result and “compromise” with Hammond? Why does he get more of say than the 17+ million that voted? Why should anyone care what he wants? WHY are there still arch Remainers in the government after all this time?!
Before the vote, the definition of Brexit was clear and unambiguous. It’s only after Remain lost that we started to see this manufactured uncertainty come into play. Distinctions between “Hard” and “Soft” as if the latter had any precedent or legitimacy at all.
Everybody in the government thought remain was going to win and so they made empty promises hoping they wouldn’t have to go through with it, and that’s ultimately why they’re squirming, stalling for time and refusing to pull the trigger.
Any deal which continues to infringe our sovereignty by treaty is unacceptable and clearly a trojan horse or ploy to engineer a re-accession to the EU at a later date on even worse terms than we enjoy now.
We must resist this at all costs there is no earthly reason why we should take orders from Brussels or be treated as in any way less important than either France or Germany.
We demand our complete and total independence without preconditions. Now if the EU wishes to punish the UK for leaving we are in a position to make life very difficult indeed.
