Most UK budgets consist of smoke and mirrors.
This one is no different, except that Mr Hammond isn’t very good at pretending to work in Britain’s interests while in fact doing the opposite. And of course he will studiously avoid saying anything about how much the third-world invasion, facilitated by the EU open-borders ideology, is costing UK taxpayers.
Talk about whatever you like, jobs growth, public spending, “housing crisis”, you name it, it all comes down to the population and that is in a state of complete flux. The demographic is changing beyond all recognition, especially in terms of knowledge, capacity, work ethic, morality and sensibility to contribute and act generously to one another (a Christian trait I believe). It is swelling and nobody wants to talk about it; we’re all supposed to believe that the numbers stay the same but the increased demand for services is just because we’re all ageing or some other balderdash.
There hasn’t been an honest budget in years!
Makes you wonder what the hell was the point in all this fabled austerity and savings when we’re just going to hand it all, and more, over to Brussels to blow on projects that seek to undermine us in every conceivable fashion.
We should be preparing to be an independent sovereign nation once again, effective border control, management of our coastal waters, etc. The fact that we aren’t tells you all you need to know about where the government’s sympathies lie.
“Hammond told the House of Commons that his budget prepares Britain to “seize the opportunities” from Brexit.”
Don’t strain yourself Phil, it’s only been eighteen months since we voted to leave.
A few million here or there for our own country but promises of 40Billion + for the masters in Brussels.
