The pro-EU PM has resigned because the majority voted in the referendum to leave the EU. The majority of Tory MPs now vote for another pro-EU candidate. Can somebody enlighten me as how this relates to democracy?
We have just had the most important result of the most important statement by the country in a century. Where are the leading Brexiteers. It seems to me that the country is stronger and more capable than our Lilly livered politicians, all of whom are too concerned about their careers rather than the people they represent.
If she freeloads her way into No.10 she will be the Female Gordon Brown. She will destroy the party, and will be defeated at the next election, even by Corbyn. She is thoroughly unlikable, she is fidgety, has a grating voice, and is definitely not electable. Worst of all, her “negotiation” will entangle us even more into the EU system, the difference being that we won’t be members officially. We will just be a colony of the EU again.
People will realise that mass immigration hasn’t ended, that we don’t have control of our borders, and that the hopes and dreams of the real, decent people, who overcame every hurdle and threat and insult to vote to Leave against all the odds, and to secure that victory, have been dashed by the billionaire elites.
If May gets the job then it will conclusively prove one thing, the greatest skill of those who’ve been running the country is to keep their greasy hands on power whilst being completely ineffectual in almost any role they are given.
May has had her chance to make a difference and has utterly failed to impress. Why anyone would think she’ll do better as resident of No.10 I can’t imagine. It will simply be more of the same failed agenda we’ve been seeing for decades.
If the Tories are stupid enough to put May in charge they deserve to be consigned to the dustbin, which is exactly where they’ll end up
