Clearly we can’t trust the BBC to be impartial
The BBC live in their own bubble. Since when did they represent the UK at large?
It is not called the Biased Broadcasting Corporation for nothing. In many ways actually the BBC is a scaled down version of the EU and thus shares many of the formers faults.
The BBC knows full well that it is biased towards the EU, mass immigration, the Green agenda, Labour and the Lib Dems. The problem is that it doesn’t care that this is now so evident. It feels powerful enough to be able to brazen it out.
The BBC is biased to such an extent that many of us have for a long time thought it irremediable. Politicians are risibly weak-kneed about sorting this problem out. In cases where the market decides, as with newspapers which have similar prejudices, the Independent has ceased to exist as a paper publication and the Guardian loses money at a staggering rate. In other words, very few would pay directly to have the BBC’s world-view rammed down their throats.
I consider the BBC has such corporate conceit, such overweening self-righteousness, such totally undeserved sense of moral superiority that it knows but it doesn’t care that other intelligent, decent people differ from it.
Of course the prejudice is most visible in its news and comments coverage but even in drama productions the level of political correctness is positively depressing. In fact, so riven with unsubtle propaganda are many productions that they fail either to entertain or to inform.
This is arguably the most important political event in out lives, and the fact that the BBC can’t even see that it’s biased even on this subject serves to emphasise how unfit for purpose it has become.
After Brexit, we need to take a long hard look at the BBC.
