Education nowadays is round after round of indoctrination.
The schools do this in subtle ways – they talk about Europe, not the European Union, suggesting that if Britain quits the European Union it will drift far away from the European continent and sink. Or they fail to mention the role of the Cold War and NATO in keeping the peace in Europe after World War II, and pretend that the European Union is what kept us all from going to war.
The left has controlled the narrative in schools and universities they have been able to brainwash, indoctrinate, and rewrite history to suit their agenda for the last 30 years.
Brainwashing should be outlawed and the teachers jailed! They are there to provide facts, not dish out fantasy and propaganda!
The unfortunate thing about young people is that they have no reference point, no idea that life can and surely did go on outside the EU.
The UK has been fully functioning, and mostly in far better shape, for many centuries without any such association. We had our own trade deals, our own manufacturing; this present situation has been going on for a relative blink of an eye in terms of time, yet so often we hear ” we could not survive alone! ” and ” We will not be safe! ” and other similar nonsense.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the UK can and will prosper once free of its current shackles. The younger generation deserve to taste the freedom only those of a certain age remember; it is far from scary, it is exhilarating.
We are an ingenious people, us Brits. We have pioneered in so many areas over the ages: fished our own waters and healed our sick in an envied National Health Service – a service it was possible to plan for, because it used to be known how many people would be around needing its help. That great service is presently being asked to carry the weight of an unknown and ever-growing number, yet we are told that ” It has nothing to do with immigration “.
It is time to ignore the lies, and more than anything, to put away the fear of the ‘ unknown ‘ for this reason: independence is not an unknown – we have been there most of our lives as a nation, and this episode of EU membership has been the equivalent of a weekend away, nothing more.
It is over four months before the vote, during which time much can happen, none of it beneficial to the popularity of the EU. More immigrant scandals and the gift that keeps on giving, the Eurozone are absolutely bound to cause further consternation to Brussels, it is not even certain any more that there will be an EU to vote over.
