Here we are, faced with EU members who have thrown open their borders and are progressing to political union with a broken currency.
The mere fact that a British PM has to go cap in hand to the governments of Poland, Bulgaria and Romania to ask them if their people would kindly stop taking British taxes is reason enough to vote out.
Remember this is the Cameron who came back from the EU, waving his little bit of paper, claiming great success in reducing the EU budget – you know the one that has not been signed off on for ~20 years?!
What did our EU “partners” and “friends” do? They changed the rules/formulae on the contributions made by member states, went back over ~20 years and fined Britain ~70 billion as a punishment for Camerons “success”.
France and Germany got money back – that alone speaks volumes about just what kind of a relationship we have with the thieving leaches in Europe.
Half the population want out and most of the rest want reform.
How many people in the UK would declare themselves entirely content with the EU as it stands? How many actively endorse the idea of further integration?
I think we’re talking very small percentages..
Come the referendum, turnout amongst the out brigade is going to be very high – there’s millions who are really angry about our EU membership.
Of those who would like us to stay in a reformed EU, many will abstain from voting if they are not convinced that real reform is on the table, and many will also abstain if Cameron gets some minor concessions, but continues to dodge the elephant in the room that is immigration.
The momentum is with the ‘Leave’ camp. It is now only a matter of time before Britain becomes, once again, a free, independent, sovereign, nation and not before time!
