Cameron has absolutely no intention of leaving the EU regardless what us plebs say. Every time he has spoken on the subject he has made it absolutely clear that the Tories are the party of in.
Cameron has broken every single promise he has ever made, even this referendum promise is tempered with a caveat that allows plenty of wiggle room. “If we do not get meaningful reform we will give a referendum,” what is meaningful reform, what is the deadline for this reform to be implemented, when do the negotiations for this reform start. Too many unknowns for my liking, too many get out of jail free cards.
Politics have changed, the long grass has been cut down and the electorates patience has worn thin. These high fantasy platitudes are not enough to placate any more, action now as we have a choice as do you.
The European Union is, and always will be, a bastion of weak, spineless and self-destructive liberalism.
The Tory’s have had five years to remodel our relationship with the EU and they’ve only taken us deeper into the myre.
Now, amazingly, just three months before the General Election, the great and the good get together to produce a number of fake “Best choices”, the best of which will deliver something that will mirror almost exactly what we’ve got now.
The best option is to leave, retake our own seat at the world’s top tables and make trade agreements with everyone we want to do business with.
The EU are spiteful bunch of ideologues who would do anything to see Britain sink without a trace, economically (and quite possibly liberally), once we have left their fantasy utopia. The UK will thrive outside the EU, but that will be despite, not because of, the EU.
And while Conservatives have such dough-eyed faith in their leader’s promise of a referendum don’t expect it to be any sort of honest vote, if it’s held at all. Oh, and in case anyone missed it – Cameron will be campaigning and voting for us to stay in the EU.
