How can the police be too powerful and too feeble at the same time?
That apparent paradox is the endemic central feature of a police state. A police force which chooses its priorities (or more accurately, those of its masters) and pursues them with all available resources whilst not caring about the plight of ordinary people who are unfortunate enough to find themselves victims of crime.
Like so many once fine institutions, the police ‘service’ has fallen under the spell of its own egomania. It is far too concerned with its own PR, boasting of serving the public but the reality is that it exists to serve itself and those who control it. It selects which laws to ignore and which to uphold with a heavy hand. Sadly, that’s pretty much the very definition of a police state in my view.
Extinction Rebellion vandals are digging up the lawns outside Cambridge’s grandest college Trinity and have blocked one of the roundabouts near the city centre.
Why aren’t the police arresting them? Why should taxpayers have to pay for the damage done? And what does this say about the future of Britain under a green tyranny where hardcore environmental activists and the Boris Johnson administration appear to have formed an alliance in opposition to the British people?……BB
Back in the day- pre 1997 New Labour reforms of the police. They would have sent the hardest police officers in, cracked some skulls together and dispersed the protestors within 1 hour.
These days they lack any of those old school officers who could solve such problems quickly. They have become a bunch of pathetic wimps obsessed with SJW politics and sucking up to common purpose management.
These are vandals from a proscribed terrorist organisation The useless police should be arresting them. It would be a different story Tommy Robinson supporters were doing this.
Common Purpose is too well rooted in public life now, the cancer eating away at the established order to bring chaos and destruction.
